    • Senior Programmer Analyst / Project Manager
    • Responsibilities:
      • Designed and developed several in-house and web-based applications using Visual FoxPro, COM Automation, Windows API, MySQL, XHTML, XML, CSS, and PHP. These projects involved meeting with the various departments to determine needs, layout and coding of the application, database design, migration from current applications, and deployment.
      • Installation, configuration and maintenance of web servers running Apache/IIS, PHP, and MySQL under Windows and Linux.
      • Worked with third party vendors in deploying and extending their packages, including an Accounting package and a Document Management system. Built many custom integration modules to connect them to our existing legacy systems.
      • Contributed my skills help enhance many other applications’ development for both internal use as well as for our external customers.
      • Implemented new procedures for our IT department to deal with source code management using Subversion, bug tracking, testing, and managing application deployment.

  • Extensive web programming experience using PHP 4 and 5, XHTML, XML, AJAX, and ECMAScript/Javascript (including various Javascript libraries such as behavior and the Yahoo User Interface library), MySQL, SQL Server, Apache, IIS. Very comfortable using the Zend Framework, as well as the PEAR and PECL repositories when programming in PHP. Programming experience in both procedural and object-oriented style, including working with the PHP 5 class framework.
  • Professional desktop application programming experience using Windows API, COM Automation, XML, Crystal Reports, and Visual FoxPro in both a procedural and object oriented programming style. I‚Äôve used native FoxPro tables, MySQL and SQL Server database servers.

      • Systems Programming - studied TCL and UNIX script programming as well as using C to perform various UNIX systems tasks. Wrote several programs to do systems administration tasks on HP/UX and Linux machines.
      • Database Design - studied database theory, functions, and designs. Also worked on a team project to design an actual database using Oracle 8i and SQL.
      • Computer Graphics - used OpenGL library under UNIX. Also learned basic algorithms for line drawing and other simple graphical design.
      • Web Design and Programming - worked with programming with popular web languages including HTML, Java, and PHP. Learned how to setup and maintain a web site using Apache. Learned module and dynamic configuration for Apache. Worked with database interactions with MySQL. Used these skills to help work on a team to design a fully functional, dynamic web site for Hamburg Township in Michigan.

    I am also in IT. I am the database manager for the police dept.

    I am married and have 4 children 3 boys and 1 girl.
